WHEN DOES IT MEET?
Our Self-Improvement Course for teens meets from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM every Saturday for 8 consecutive weeks.
WHO CAN ENROLL?
Female teens and adults age 13 and up
WHO TEACHES THE CLASSES?
Instructors are experienced and working ALIX ADAMS models; hair and make-up instructors are licensed beauticians.
WHAT WILL THEY LEARN?
The Self-Improvement Course is designed to improve self-image and give students their best model look.

ABOUT EXERCISE & NUTRITION?
This class instills the importance of healthy lifestyles in students. A certified personal trainer demonstrates exercises and gives tips on eating well and exercise . Students are given a diet quiz that is reviewed by a nutrition firm and returned with individual recommendations for healthy eating.
ABOUT SKINCARE & MANICURE?
A licensed beautician teaches students how to properly care for skin and nails with demonstrations of the 3-step cleansing process and home manicures.
ABOUT MAKE-UP FOR FACE?
A licensed make-up artist teaches students how to properly apply face make-up with diagrams for each student. Students are given written directions for foundation, powder, blush, and lipstick, indicating the colors that are best for their skin tones.
ABOUT MAKE-UP EYES & BROWS?
Professional make-up artists give students a complete reference guide that is designed specifically for each student. This is a great tool in learning proper make-up application. Instructors demonstrate lessons by applying half of student’s faces or eyes with make-up; allowing the students to complete the other half with assistance.
ABOUT HAIR?
A professional hair stylist shows students how to style hair with an inventory of diverse options. Teachers also give students instruction on how to care for hair. They recommend a hairstyle that best suits each student’s face shape.
ABOUT SAVVY?
The instructor advises students on etiquette, posture, walking, sitting and professionalism. Students come to class wearing an outfit appropriate for attending a modeling interview. The instructor will provide helpful suggestions.
ABOUT RUNWAY?
The runway class is taught by Janna Dubynuk, an ALIX ADAMS top model for many years. Janna teaches students how to model on the runway with instruction on t-turns, the model’s stance, eye contact, and smiling. Students also learn the runway choreography for the final Self-Improvement Class, our graduation fashion show.
WHAT IS GRADUATION?
The 8th class consists of a graduation fashion show in which parents, family, and friends are invited to attend. Students perform the runway routine learned during the course. Graduates receive a diploma, and parents may take as many pictures as they wish!
Upon graduation from the Self-Improvement Course, students are given the opportunity to enroll in the Professional Course to become ALIX ADAMS models.

WHAT ARE THE TUITION & TERMS?
The tuition for the Self-Improvement Course is $295, which can be paid in 8 weekly installments of $35 plus a $15 deposit, or can be paid in full.
